For the week that’s in it.
Trash talking, quick-fisted UFC superstar Conor McGregor takes issue with Father Christmas for Thinkhouse’s annual Christmas video.
Kick him in the nollaigs, Santy.
Thanks Elaine and Paddy
No need for any more papers to call. This is my final comment on the situation. Time to get focused on #UFCDublin pic.twitter.com/FWjmcSUFdO

On home soil, McGregor must prove his worth as a sold-out O2 Arena awaits his arrival. The guy is an animal in fairness.
Conor McGregor (top) and Catherine Noone TD
[Catherine Noone TD] said: “I have written to the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport seeking his views on allowing this vile so-called sport to be given a platform and an audience here and fully believe that this event should not be licensed…”
The senator’s comments come ahead of [Conor] McGregor and fellow Irish fighter Cathal Pendred preparing for their respective bouts in Boston early on Monday morning.
A McGregor win could see a potential title fight in Dublin, possibly in Croke Park in front of 80,000 fans.
Ultimate FIGHT!
Senator wants to ban Conor McGregor’s ‘vile’ UFC fight from Dublin (Robin Schiller, Independent.ie)

Update: An earlier version of this post used an image of Senator Michelle Mulherin. Sorry.
Uncanny.

UFC in Sweden.
Conor McManus writes:
Just a follow up from the post entitled ‘FIGHT!’ from Friday afternoon. [Dubliner] Conor McGregor beat Marcus Brimage by KO after just 67 seconds [this evening).
Damn impatient cage fighting hipster.
“F**k the recession”
Conor McGregor’s joke-pummelling, post-fight interview.
Fair play though, in fairness.
Conor McManus writes:
I know you don’t normally talk about MMA [Mixed Martial Arts] but I was wondering if you could spread the word about Dubliner Conor McGregor (above right) who is fighting Marcus Brimage (left) in the UFC tomorrow night in Sweden.
Conor is a legend: a 12-2 record (11 wins by KO), held two world titles in two separate men’s divisions and has the gift of the gab (check out his twitter account @TheNotoriousMMA for that). MTV also did a documentary about him recently.
He is fighting at around 6pm and it can be watched for free on the UFC’s Facebook page. Please show your support for Irish MMA as it continues to rise at a rapid rate and for sure we will see more Irish fighters join Conor in the ranks of the UFC.
Cage fighting?
We’re literally on the fence.
