Buenos Aires, yesterday.

Argentinian legislator Graciela Camano has just risen from her chair to confront her colleague, Carlos Kunkel during a session of the Upper House’s constitutional affairs commission. Seconds out, round one:

“Under no circumstances will I allow Kunkel or anyone else to lack respect,” Ms Camano said.

The incident was broadcast live on two television news channels.

…using an Xbox Kinect connected to a laptop using the libfreenect Kinect drivers and ofxKinect. The open Frameworks system tracks the elbow, wrist, thumb, and tips of the fingers to map a skeleton onto the movement and posture of an animated puppet.

And get this: it was made in a day. So just imagine the Kinect homebrew we’ll have around this time next year.

Pushkar and his old master Pyara Singh offer dentures, extractions and other surgeries on the sidewalk in front of the train station at Jaipur in North East India. Filmmaker Falk Peplinski’s somewhat ironic short film The Dentist Of Jaipur enjoyed huge success at film festivals in 2006 and 2007.

All procedures cost the equivalent of €1.50 and the lads have no time for your squeamish nonsense.
