The Irish Mail on Sunday obtained a copy of a video shot in Kiev in January featuring Seán Quinn Jnr (right), his cousin Peter Quinn (left) and some Ukrainian associates. It includes:

Peter Quinn saying lying to the court ‘wouldn’t overly worry’ him.

Seán Quinn Jnr demanding $100,000 in cash that day and saying they are ‘unhappy’ they have ‘not had our five million’;

Peter Quinn requesting a safety deposit box in Kiev because ‘we can’t get $100,000 into Ireland’;

Peter Quinn telling a Russian-speaking businessman: ‘I’m not going to make your position stronger until I get the money;

Peter Quinn stating: ‘I am in breach of Irish injunctions, which you are aware of’.

Ireland took silver in the Lacrosse European Championships on Saturday

Conor Walsh writes:

Just want to say thank you for posting about us during the tournament.We entered the tournament as the 6th seed with nobody expecting us to do well. We opened the campaign with 3 tough losses but managed to turn it around and came away as Silver Medalists (see Brendan Walsh, no relation, above). For anyone who has seen the posts and is interested in taking up lacrosse should go to IrelandLacrosse for more information. All ages and all skill levels are encouraged to start playing and who knows, maybe in 4 years time we will be champions of Europe.

What you may need to know:

1. This martial arts spectacular is co-written, directed by and stars Wu-Tang Clan legend The RZA.

2. The film is ‘presented’ by Quentin Tarantino. Naturally.

3. RZA previously starred alongside Russell Crowe in American Gangster (2007). Rusty looks like he’s having fun here.

4.Best tagline of 2012: ‘They put the F-U in king fu’.

5. Plus: Possibly the best eye-popping scene since Evil Dead 2.

Release date (Ireland): Unconfirmed

This is page 14 of of Youth Defence’s magazine Solas from 2009 concerning the civil union bill. The article is plainly and openly homophobic. It requests supporters to oppose any progressive legislation moving towards gay marriage and adoption by gays. When the .pdf began to be shared around Facebook yesterday many people reported that page 14 had disappeared. Luckily, copies of the original .pdf had been saved. I thought that this would be of special interest considering Eamon Gilmore’s recent comments about gay marriage and YD’s recent campaign and attempt to clean up their image, not to mention the Pride march and the ever-growing demand for equality.

Rally driver Tanner Foust and Hollywood stuntman Greg Tracy pull an estimated 7G completing the Hot Wheels Double Loop Dare at X Games LA.

“That was pretty hardcore: the 7 Gs … I almost felt my chin hit my lap, I think, in the loop,” Foust said after finishing the stunt in the Team Yellow car. “I felt like I was in a toy.” To avoid passing out from the force of seven times gravity, Foust’s strategy was to “grunt, tighten your core and try to make your eyeballs and veins pop out.”
