A decommissioned harbour crane repurposed into a unique luxury pad in Amsterdam’s residential East Docklands.

The apartment, designed by  the renowned Edward van Vliet, comprises three stacked, interlinked shipping containers inserted into the gantry.

Sunburst Grey paint changes from grey to copper when hit by the sun. Tudor Oak cabin veneer is perforated by a ‘constellation’ of 176 LEDs.1,340 fibre-optic lights in the headliner recreate the night sky with eight shooting stars that cross overhead as you drive. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös describes it thus:
