Cloudwash is a prototype connected washing machine – one of a range of connected appliances still in development – that will, among other things, schedule various washing cycles, purchase conditioner and powder online and operate remotely, with or without a smarttphone app.
Ghostcube is a series of hinged interlocking wooden cubes created by Swedish designer Erik Åberg which can be twisted and folded – origami style – into a seemingly endless array of complex shapes.
Åberg has open-sourced the design in the form of 30 minutes of development and application video that you can download from his site.
The road-ready prototype C-01 – Lotus Cars’ first ever motorcycle – designed by Daniel Simon, who coincidentally (or not) designed the light cycles for Tron: Legacy.

The headliner has an ambient lighting system with 358 individually controlled LEDs. There’s a Swiss made ‘patravi traveltec’ watch encased in a transparent globe embedded in the dash.
Oh, and an espresso machine.
All of which will count for nought when a five year old gawks a semi-digested effusion of wine gums and chocolate milk into the rear footwell.
