Behold: the 1974 BMW 3.0 CS, more specifically, actor Robert Downey Jr’s newly modified CS, upgraded by autoshop Speedkore with a bespoke leather interior, high performance shocks, wheels, callipers, pistons, a (somewhat chinny, in fairness) carbon fibre front bumper and the rorty 3.6l straight-six engine from an E-34 M5.

atBehold: the 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster, or rather, an enhanced ‘restomod of the original Erwin Komenda design – a fully documented ground-up restoration with upgraded Carrera exhaust, lights, air intakes, magnesium rims, disc brakes front and back, stabiliser bars and adjustable dampers – none of which improvements detract from the original factory appearance.

The ‘highways, arteries and veins of our cities’ replicated and extrapolated by Yiannis Bilaris of Hong Kong-based production house Visual Suspect.
“To a raven and the hurricanes which bring back smells of humans in love from unknown places”: an elaborately titled but rather adorable exhibition at Madrid’s Reina Sofia’s Palacio de Cristal by Kosovar visual artist Petrit Halilaj in collaboration with his fellow artist (and partner) Álvaro Urbano.
A metaphorical nest with oversized oversized forsythia, palm seeds, cherry blossom, poppy, carnation, and lily blooms – all based on the elaborately decorated nests created by courting bowerbirds (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus): ‘a place for the celebration of love’, according to Halilaj.

A moodily impressive short by artist Yang Yongliang that combines the light of cities with the stars in the night sky.

Stretched, lowered, diffused, scooped, cut, lipped, skirted and stylised.
It’s monstrous.

atBehold: the BMW Blechmann R18 – a redesigned long distance cruiser for BMW Motorrad by bike builder Bernhard ‘Blechmann’ Naumann (whose claimed method is to ‘design as he works’, never planning in advance).
The bike has all manner of retro callbacks from classic pinstriping and sporty knee cutouts on the tank to a kidney shaped headlight reminiscent of the marque’s auto grille.
Can’t have. Only for looking at.
