I thought you might like this framed photo seen in a South East London pub last weekend. Blackheath is the oldest open rugby club in the UK formed in 1858. In 1890, the same year Gladstone refused to consider Home Rule for Ireland, our rugby team headed over to Blackheath to play a game of rugby with the English team.Anyone know what the score was?

Anyone?

My good friend Michelle has lost her Yorkshire Terrier, called Cali, in the Chapelizod area. She’s been missing since around midday today. Cali is Shel’s best mate and companion and she will be devastated without her. I’m in Australia and can’t do anything to help so I thought I could at least try and spread the word! Thanks!

You may have missed [RTÉ Two Reality Bites documentary] #MissingYou when it aired last Christmas, With the weekend that’s in your readers may like to see it again. It’s being repeated next Sunday at 10.25pm on RTÉ Two. #MissingYou is compiled of Skype video calls, recorded over six months, from of a group of Irish people living abroad, calling home to their loved ones.

Sentimental tosh.

Etc.

Teachers and members of the Association of Secondary School Teachers of Ireland  (ASTI) outside St Paul’s CBS  on STRIKE during their lunch break (yes) part of a nationwide lunch break stoppage today to protest against changes to the Junior Cert.

The teachers claim different schools could have a different idea of what constitutes a B grade compared to an A grade under the changes.

Thus unleashing anarchy.
