A beautiful day along the Grand Canal [near Baggot Street bridge, Dublin]. Walking the dog my daughter (7) asked if this was for the fish to go to the toilet.

High/slackliner and stunt woman Faith Dickey walks a taut line between two trucks speeding along a highway in Croatia toward a tunnel.
Essentially a promo for the handling ability of the Volvo FH truck, the sequence was filmed in cooperation with Hollywood stunt director Peter Pedrero and directed by Oscar nominee Henry Alex Rubin.
On her website, Dickey describes her forte thus:
Highlining took everything I thought I knew about fear and threw it into the sky. To stand on one inch webbing stretched across a void, with all exposure penetrating your vision and unhinging your brain, every iota of your being is telling you not to be there. This is fear and each step across that line pushes it slowly away. This is not a place you can build castles in the air, one can only think about breathing slowly, controlling the movement of your body and the line.

‘Mrs Creep Show”s cat – a Sphynx by the name of Jobie (apparently healthy, well cared for and not overfed) – is quite the looker.
Quite the looker indeed.

Suspend This
atTHE PARENTS of more than 100 former pupils at a Dublin fee-paying school say they will take legal action over the suspension of nearly the entire Leaving Cert class shortly before the exam this year.
Some 113 of the 120 sixth-year pupils at the High School in Rathgar were suspended on May 18th after an incident on May 4th in which they locked themselves into the sixth-year common room for 55 minutes and played dance music.
In a text message sent at 8pm on May 18th the pupils were told their lessons had been concluded for the year, and they could attend the school only by appointment until the Leaving Cert exam started on June 6th. There were 2½ days of lessons remaining.
