Hi Jim, the Irish Govt decides the Irish State’s travel policies in relation to COVID-19 based on its health advice. The Irish State is not conducting entry screening at Irish airports or ports as @HSELive says that neither the @WHO or the @ECDC_EU recommend entry screening.

Independent.ie reports:

Three people were taken hostage when a bus was hijacked at Dublin Airport in the early hours of this morning.

Independent.ie understands the shuttle bus belonging to a well-known hotel was stolen from the roadway in front of Terminal 2 around 1am.

Two hijackers locked the doors, effectively trapping the passengers already on board, and took off in the direction of the M1 motorway.

A source said the traumatised passengers were eventually allowed out near Julianstown, Co Meath, a 30-minute drive away.

Hi there. Has a data protection impact assessment been done for this trial? The trial appears to involve processing for which @DPCIreland has determined a DPIA is mandatory under A35 GDPR.

The DPIA is part of privacy by design which is embedded within our project approach. This trial, which has yet to begin, is for flights to Bristol, so no it is not being used for staff or contractors.

Dublin Airport has said that it is open and operational.

However, it says that some airlines are experiencing delays to their flight schedules due to de-icing issues. It advised passengers to check with their airlines for flight updates.

The weather caused a number of delays and cancellations at the airport last night with some passengers complaining of waiting on the airfield for over three hours.
