Staying In Thursday?

Via TG4:

Hector is taking us on a whirlwind tour of Ireland meeting all the great people from overseas who now call Ireland their home. From Brazil to the Congo, Canada to Ghana, Russia to Syria, he’s in search of answers of who they are, why they came, how they settled in and how Ireland is treating them. These people are the changing face of Ireland – This is Hector’s ‘Éire Nua’.

Hector – Éire Nua: Thursdays from September 30 on TG4 at 9.30pm.

Hector Anseo’ is a 6-part series of one-hour programmes that will transcend the lockdown.

They will begin with Hector in his own shed talking to the nation, building their hope, championing their survival skills but will, we hope, be a shining light to the nation as Hector like us all will be unleashed and freed.

Joining Hector for the first episode are Michael Healy Rae, Gráinne Seoige from South Africa, Trevor Brennan – former Ireland, Leinster + Toulouse rugby player and now a publican, live from Toulouse, Dan Shanahan – Ex Waterford hurler All-Star, Conor Moore – Golf Impersonator and Gavin James – Award Winning Singer Songwriter.

Any excuse.

‘Hector Anseo’ on TG4 on Thursday at 9.30pm.

He’s back.

Ireland’s most famous intrepid traveller Hector Ó hEochagáin  (top with the Blind Boys of Alkabama] opens our eyes to “His America” as he takes on the road trip of a lifetime from Coast to Coast as he treks across the Southern States from Savannah on the Atlantic to San Diego on the Pacific.

Hector USA will be road tripping from Georgia through Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana into Texas, New Mexico and Arizona before finishing up on the Pacific seaboard in California.

Covering 8 states and more than 5000 miles on the road, it will be one helluva awesome adventure with Hector taking us to a world only he can access.

Any excuse
