Agreement has been reached in talks between Ryanair and pilots’ union Fórsa, the trade union has said.

The agreement comes after a 22-hour session which began yesterday morning and ended at 7.30am today.

The proposed agreement will now be balloted by members with the union recommending that it is accepted.

Fórsa says it has been asked by talks facilitator Kieran Mulvey not to make any further comment while the ballot takes place.

Ryanair passengers who have received compensation for cancelled and delayed flights have been charged extra fees after banks rejected the cheques…

Ryanair pilots are striking in five European countries, forcing the cancellation of a sixth of the firm’s flights during the holiday season peak.

The 24-hour walk-out involves staff in Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands. About 50,000 passengers are understood to have been told of cancellations on 400 flights.

Ryanair pilots based in Ireland staging a fourth one-day stoppage after disagreements between Pilot union Fórsa and Ryanair over promotions and seniority.

This morning, Fórsa announced their fifth strike on August 10 with  20 flights cancelled, affecting up to 3,500 passengers.

The first strike took place on Jul y 12  followed by 24-hours stoppages on July 18, July 24 and today, August 3.

Further to industrial action by pilots in Ireland, and cabin crew in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Belgium…

Ryanair pilots in Belgium have announced that they will strike on 10 August as the industrial dispute at Europe’s largest airline escalates.

Earlier this morning, the Swedish pilots union confirmed that they too will strike on the same date….

The German pilots union VC has also backed strike action…

…In addition, yesterday, Ryanair’s pilots based in the Netherlands voted almost unanimously to join the campaign of industrial action…

Ryanair has taken the unusual step of publishing staff pay and benefit details online as workers for the airline stage strikes.

Ryanair posted details on its website of pilots’ monthly and annual salaries, which included captains from Ireland, the UK, Belgium, Germany and Portugal.

The airline claimed the pilots earned between €190,000 and €220,000 (£169,000 and £195,000) year.

It also said cabin crew earned up to €40,000 (£36,000) a year – “more than double the living wage”.
