Georgie our one eyed cat went missing over FOUR years ago having climbed under a neighbour’s car bonnet to avoid a heavy rain shower.
The neighbour got into the car and travelled from East Wall [Dublin 3] to a garage in Sallynoggin [Co Dublin]. A car mechanic got a shock when he opened the bonnet and the cat fled.
We drove out to the area to search for him and put up posters. We gave him little chance as only having one eye was such a disadvantage.
Yesterday we received a call from the DSPCA Rathfarnham to say he was handed in. Shook, starving and quite unwell but still with the same old attitude.
What’s the lesson? Always chip your pets…

Yesterday at 1pm my elderly aunt’s two dogs were stolen by two males, one with a bike from outside Lidl and the Taphouse, Ranelagh [Dublin 6]. It seems like dog theft is on the rise.
Thankfully one of the dogs was found late last night in Kilmhanham but the older one Mosey (top) who is an 11-year-old, microchipped female Irish Wheaten Terrier, is still missing.
My Aunt would be eternally grateful if your followers could help and highlight the dangers of leaving pets unattended.

Mosey was found safe and well, she was taken in by a staff member from Focus Ireland [homeless agency] last night near Thomas Street [Dublin 8 and they found one of my posts online. Thanks for all your help!

Max is missing since 10am this morning. He got out of his house on the Clonkeen Road [Co Dublin] near Cornelscourt [Foxrock, Dublin 18]. Please if you live in the surrounding areas of Blackrock and Cabinteely keep an eye out for him. Owners sick with worry. If you see him take him to your nearest vet to be scanned as his chip is registered to owners.

At around 11.30am this morning, in the Citywest Business Campus in Dublin 24, we found this beautiful husky dog who was doing his best to injure himself with cars, lawnmowers and climbing on buildings.
We managed to catch him and bring him to the Animal Hospital in Tallaght but unfortunately he has no ID on his collar and isn’t microchipped.
If his owner doesn’t get in contact I believe he will be sent to Ashtown dog pound, which would be heartbreaking for such a loving and friendly guy.
