This is quite clearly bullshit and any kid who has dabbled in drugs will know. An organisation designed to help spread education in the Ballyfermot area spreading misinformation that will turn young people off the service that they are trying to reach out with.

Would you like your designs beamed across South Korean telly?

For two HOURS

Alana O’Brien (top) writes:

I don’t know if any of your readers may find this interesting, but I’m going to be representing Ireland in Korea on a game show called, ‘Quiz On Korea’ in August.
I’ll also be the first to represent Ireland in this competition. I had to go through a few rounds, first was writing an essay on what I found interesting about South Korea, then there was a quiz…then an interview (I didn’t sleep for 3 days and learned an A4 page of Korean off phonetically). And I couldn’t believe it, but as time went on, I was getting further and further in the competition! And then…I won the entire thing.
And now I’ll be representing Ireland on Korean television in a 2 hour show.
Soooo… here’s the real reason I’m letting people know about this… We all have to dress according to which country we’re from. If you watch the above..some of the contestants look rather, er, interesting…I’m not really feeling a GAA jersey, but was thinking of a wearable tamed down version of an Irish dancing dress?

Obviously not as luminous and with no ringlets in my hair. Just a wearable classy take on the Irish dancing dress as an inspiration. I would love to hear from any designers out there, or any shops that might sell what I’m looking for.

I will give props to the person/shop/business on TV of course.

Anyone?

Apart from the more morbid colour, the bouncy castle looks the same as the standard one. It does have a layer of fine Nylcro netting which acts as sort of light soundproofing to keep down the noise of children playing in it.
…Obviously, the booking of them is more express than would be the case with a communion or a christening, but we come in and erect the castle discreetly so that we do not offend any people’s sensibilities,” he said, adding that he hopes to be operating a dozen funeral castles before the end of the year.

Beats wake boarding.

There was a massive car chase in [Dublin] city centre last night, around 12.30 a.m. involving certainly more than ten squad cars, paddy wagons and an ambulance. They were chasing a Merc around town, it passed me twice at absolutely terrifying speed, with its lights off. I can’t find out anything definite about it on the internet or radio yet, although people seem to be speculating on Facebook Perhaps some of your readers might have heard something more.

Anyone?

car1 car2Fiat 500 Giardiniera: “The Fiat 500 is one of motoring’s biggest icons and here is one of its lesser-known variants: the 500 K or Giardiniera. This 1971 model still sported suicide doors at a time when the 500 supermini had long done away with them. Giardinieras from 1966 onwards were built by partner company, Autobianchi hence the badge on the front of the car.”

Jaguar 3.4: “Initially I thought this was a Jaguar Mk 2 but some research indicates that it is the oft-called Mark 1 or Jaguar 3.4 (a 2.4L model was also available). That would suggest a date somewhere between 1955 and 1959. The Mark 1 and Mark 2 are very similar aesthetically so I could still be mistaken. This model has a four-speed manual transmission.”

car5 car6VW Polo Mk 2 (Typ 86C): “The second generation Polo debuted in 1981 and here we have one from 1985. I forget what litre engine it is but I think it’s the base model 1043cc version. Introduction of the Mk 2 Polo was the beginning of the end for VW’s small the saloon, the Derby, which was renamed the Polo ‘Classic’.”

Following  “heaven must be missing an angel”, I have a feeling this is related somehow. A young lady standing outside the front gates of Trinity college with a copy of the Book of Kells in a rather fetching monk’s outfit (which I’m pretty sure is the Star Wars Jedi Bathrobe I’ve had my eye on for a while now)….

What you may need to know:

1. We’ve been away on holiday. We had a lovely time, cheers.

2. Larry David made a movie! For HBO, who produce Curb Your Enthusiasm. It won’t be playing cinemas. He plays a character best described as ‘Larry David-esque’.

3. It’s directed by Greg Mottola, who did Superbad (2007), Adventureland (2008) and Paul (2011), and co-stars Jon Hamm, Danny McBride, Bill Hader and Michael Keaton. Always good to see Michael Keaton.

4. Curb Your Enthusiasm will return, whenever Larry feels like it. He’s too rich to be in a hurry.
