While out walking with her owner last night in Milltown park, Dublin 6, little Jess got spooked by something and ran off into the bushes. After 4 hours trying to find her, occasionally spotting her in the bushes along the Dodder bank on the lane that joins Milltown to O’Sheas pub on the Clonskea road, we were forced to give up – as it was 2am and pitch dark. If anyone sees her or has her, please let us know. She is a really friendly dog and very, very dear to her owner. We are very upset and have no idea what happened tonight.
NB – Thanks to all the passersby, neighbours and friends who came & tried help get her back. Thanks for any news.

Currently incarcerated Shell to Sea campaigner Liam Heffernan.
From The Rossport Solidarity Campaign
Last Wednesday Liam Heffernan – a campaigner from the Rossport Solidarity Camp – was arrested at Aughoose, County Mayo under sections 8 and 9 of the Public Order Act for allegedly obstructing Shell construction vehicles without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
At Belmullet Garda station Mr. Heffernan was offered to enter into a bail bond with the condition that he stay away from the Shell tunnelling compound at Aughoose.
After refusing this condition, he was remanded to Catlerea prison, Co. Roscommon for two days until the court sat on Friday morning last.
On Monday Liam Heffernan began a hunger strike in protest against his continued detention in Castlerea prison.
In Harristown Court, Castlerea… Mr. Heffernan accepted to enter into the bail conditions set out by the Judge and to appear before Belmullet District Court on the July 10.
The Judge however found problems with Mr. Heffernan’s signature and remanded the campaigner in custody until the next sitting of Harristown court.
Today [Thursday], marks Liam’s ninth day in prison and fourth day on hunger strike.
Supporters of Liam are invited to attend Harristown Court, Castlerea, tomorrow, Friday the 21st of June at 10.30am.

No sooner had Irish deputy prime minister Eamon Gilmore [above] released a statement saying that negotiations had been “concluded” were MEPs rushing to twitter and their press offices to denounce what they saw as an attempt to steamroller them into a deal.
Austrian socialist MEP Hannes Swoboda referred to “blackmail” by the EU presidency, representing member states, and said there had not been enough progress on one of the MEPs’ key demands – flexibility to allow unspent money to be used elsewhere rather than flowing back to member states.
Guy Verhofstadt, a Belgian liberal MEP, said “there is still no agreement” and criticized the scope of the proposed budget revision clause, saying parliament does not want to be locked into a “straitjacket.”
Negotiations were carried out with the Irish presidency and the parliament’s main budget MEPs, including the lead negotiator Alain Lamassoure, a French centre-right deputy.

Psychic Sally Morgan has never “used a hidden earpiece during her performance in order to receive instructions from her team which she then repeated on stage as if she had received them from the spirit world”
And has just won a libel case against The Daily Mail on that particular subject.
This leaves three options.
According to Science journalist Tom Chivers:
1) She really is talking to dead people.
2) She is not really talking to dead people, but does genuinely believe that she is talking to dead people
3) She is not really talking to dead people, does not genuinely believe she is talking to dead people, but does want to convince other people that she is talking to dead people, at least partly for financial reasons.
YOU decide.
