Japanese lingerie company Ravijour’s True Love Tester Bra is equipped with sensors that monitor the wearer’s heart rate and vital stats along with the secretion of Catecholamine hormones – purportedly released ‘only when a woman is truly in love’.

A companion smartphone app monitors all variables and wirelessly unhooks the bra if it detects the real deal.

Seems legit.

LE_COOL_COVER_COMPETITION_09_01_14

By James Casey and Jennifer Behan (Jen is a primary teacher from Kildare and James is an architectural graduate working in Dublin).

The first winner of the 2014 Le Cool Covers competition. It will be reprinted as a postcard by Pictureworks and distributed around the city [Dublin] shortly.

James & Jennifer say:

We are drawing on nostalgia here – that childhood urge to grab a crayon and, tongue stuck out to one side, start to furiously scribble in all the blanks! We used lines, shapes and colours that counter the style of the [‘le cool’] logo and we feel the result is satisfying.

Designed by Marc Atlan and Oller and Pejic architects, this low profile house in the spectacular terrain of Joshua Tree National Park, California, finished in midnight quartz, high-gloss anthracite, darkened steel with a black tiled swimming pool and vast glass panels looks like some class of experimental stealth technology crouched alongside a rock formation.

The house is available for fashion shoots, advertising and film location rental.

Toasty enough in Summer, one might imagine.

Members of the Anti Austerity Alliance outside Irish Water HQ on Talbot Street, Dublin this lunchtime.

Inside campaigners staged a sit-in to protest at the cost of the set up of Irish Water and what they see as the first stage of the eventual privatisation of Ireland’s water network.
