Behold: the 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400S – fully restored after a minor accident and stripped back to bare aluminium by its current owner.

Currently accepting bids in the region of €1.8 million and presenting a dilemma to its future owner: whether to restore the car to its original grey-white factory colour or leave it as it is.

Behold: the Jumpacan – a skeletonised Dark Knight-era-Batmobile-looking Lamborghini Huracán created by off-road customiser Chris Steinbacher to take on the 2021 Mint 400 race through the Nevada desert outside Las Vegas.

There’s a 12 point roll cage, rock sliders, massively beefed up long-travel suspension and a gutted interior with Corbeau racing seats and a race display.

The desert Lambo is still in pre-race development, with plans for a skid plate and even more robust suspension upgrades but you can see it in action (eventually) here.

Behold: the Renault 5 Turbo 3 – an impressive ‘restomod’ of the classic 80s hot hatch and Group B racer.

Created by French custom house Legende Automobiles, the 400bhp four-cylinder Turbo 3 combines the best of the Turbo and Turbo 2 production vehicles, adding a slew of modern tech and materials including a full carbon fibre body, rear wheel arches even more flared than the outrageous haunches of the T2, digital instrument display, retro LED lights and dual-zone climate control system.

Price to be announced.

Behold: the RML Ferrari 250 SWB – a modern day tribute to a Cavallino Rampante classic by British auto-tech provider RML Group.

Built on a highly modified 550 Maranello chassis, the aluminium bodywork has been replaced with carbon fibre panels, mimicking the 1959 250 SWB but reducing weight to make the most of a front-mounted 478bhp 5.5-litre V12 engine.

The plush interior (with air-con, high end sound system, digital connectivity and a hidden SatNav that deploys when required) offers a similarly enhanced take on the original late 50s look.

Only 30 will be made and yours will cost around €1,500,000.

Behold: Federal House – a 400 square metre cantilevered monochrome home at Byron Bay on the New South Wales coast.

A concrete plinth partially embedded in the sloping plot supports a black timber clad upper level with floor-to-ceiling picture windows and an internal fern garden. A swimming pool with views framing the surrounding treetops extends across the lower level.

The doorbell plays “Agadoo’ by Black Lace.
