French photographer Didier Massard’s series, Territories – currently exhibiting at the Kopeikin Gallery in LA – might look like digital art or oil paintings but each one is actually a meticulously hand-constructed diorama, carefully lit and photographed in his studio.

Another side of the work of celebrated American war photographer Robert Capa, currently on display at New Yorks’s Governor’s Island as part of an exhibition by the International Centre Of Photography.
Better known for his black and white images of the Normandy landings and the Spanish Civil War, Capa also worked with colour film from 1941 to his untimely death in 1954, recording – among other things – intimate portraits of artists, writers and actors in the 40s and 50s.
