[Dr Allan Mee, project manager of the Golden Eagle Trust with a white-tailed eagle in 2007]
Dr Mee spoke to Colm Ó Mongáin on Morning Ireland this morning about the white-tailed eagle that was found dead in a Tipperary field, saying:
“[There were] about 50 shotgun pellets, so, mostly on one side of the body so it kind of points to the fact that somebody walked up to the bird…because the pellets are all on one side of the body and shot it. The bird managed to get away and survive for a number of weeks but it must have been a slow pretty horrible death until it ultimately starved.”

“If I pay $600 for an iPad in Australia, then $550 is paid to Apple Ireland and out of the $550, $220 is not taxed anywhere in the world,” said Antony Ting, a senior lecturer in taxation law at Sydney University.
