Hi there folks at broadsheet. Just to let you know that the St.Brigid’s Cross is alive and well. There was a workshop held last Sunday in the Seamus Ennis Centre in the Naul, Co Dublin by Ronan Russell of Newgrange Willow Design.
It was attended by young fellas, young ones and oul ones. We each made two crosses which we brought home well in time for 1st Feb.
She is still out there, is St. Brigid…..patroness of poetry also, betcha didn’t know that lads? Happy St Brigid’s day.
Well, that’s us told.
Everyone was there.
‘There’ being Doheny and Nesbitt’s on Merrion Row, Dublin, for the launch of maverick political philosopher Desmond Fennell’s new book of essays ‘Third Stroke Did It’.
