While this and possibly other dimensions await the imminent release of Season 3 of Justin Roiland’s Adult Swim masterpiece Rick And Morty, enjoy this ‘fanimation’ (originally shown in animatic form at San Diego ComiCon) by tiarawhy, based on an actual, foul-mouthed, fully transcribed exchange that took place between Judge Bryant Durham and defendant Denver Allen at Georgia Superior Court last June. To wit:

Judge Morty’s life changes forever when he meets an inmate like no other.

A rather adorable VFX-heavy fan-made short created in three months by Brad Murphy and this year’s graduates of the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School. It’s right up there with The Clone Wars:

C-3PO and R-2D2 embark on a rollicking adventure when the Jawas hijack an experimental Mon Calimari starship.

They certainly do.

Not many fan films get their own trailer.

The producers of the Harry Potter inspired Auror’s Tale however – set in the wizarding community of Manhattan – are seeking Kickstarter completion funding. Hence the impressive teaser, which they maintain was shot on the fly and produced with a tiny budget.

From the synopsis:

New York City is a battlefield. Dark magic rules the underworld. The NYC Department of Magical Law Enforcement (DMLE) is the only line of defense. Hawthorne is the force’s newest recruit and the dark criminals’ latest threat. Plunging into the nightmare that his occupation offers, he makes quick enemies of the most depraved wizard gang in America: the ever violent, ever twisted Hellhounds. AUROR’S TALE chronicles Hawthorne’s tempestuous adventures.

Having recently finished his Alien prequel Prometheus, director Ridley Scott is now planning a sequel to Blade Runner.

Whether you like that notion or not, the film won’t be along any time soon. In the meantime, there’s this: Xxit – a stunning Blade Runner fan-film made by the LA/Vancouver based Stargate Studios.
