In an e-mail that was sent to affiliate marketers by Rakuten Linkshare on behalf of the LEGO Group (via The Toybook), the company confirmed it would cease marketing for any toy sets related to the police.

It comes after an official post-mortem has found that George Floyd, whose death at the hands of Minneapolis police triggered protests across the US, was killed by “homicide”.

The aftermath of violent protests in response to the death of George Floyd during an arrest. A video surfaced showing a police officer kneeling on Mr Floyd’s neck and pinning him to the ground for more than seven minutes. Mr Floyd died a short time later.
