crap

“Rupert Murdoch’s websites accidentally ran an advertisement that describes his newspapers as “crap”.”
“The ad appeared on Thursday on the mobile phone websites of the Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, Courier Mail and news.com.au.”
“It was displayed prominently in nearly every top story during lunch-time – the peak period for online browsing – before being removed late in the afternoon.”

…

“The ad accuses the Courier Mail and Daily Telegraph of “using their front pages to run a political campaign”.
“An actor then tells viewers: “[The papers’] owner, US billionaire Rupert Murdoch, has an agenda to get rid of our current PM – fair enough, we all have an opinion. But political bias presented as news is misleading crap.”
“At this point, he uses a copy of the Courier Mail to scrape up a pile of dog faeces.”

Jaykers.

“I know you don’t normally do this…We left a package with an Australian address on it at the Fatima Luas stop this morning around 8.30am. Any chance?”

Anyone?

UPDATE.. WE GOT IT!

tee

The ‘Up The Dubs’ t-shirt competition winners are…

Captain Redbeard:
“I would like to give the Up The Dubs tee to my brother Eoin because I want it, and it’d be easier to steal off someone I see quite often.”

Whippingdog: “I would like to give the Up The Dubs tee to Robbie Kavanagh because he is the biggest Dubs and GAA head I know. The lad lives in Athlone at present and travels back 3 time a week for training with Crokes, well usually he is currently injured and this would cheer him up no end! He of course will be at the game.

Brian McNamara: “I would like to give the Up The Dubs tee to Alan (me Da) because after all the years of taking me and my brother to the Hill [16] and teaching us that quick witted genius that you can only hear there, he can no longer go as he now lives in Co. Clare taking care of a loved one. He watches every game with his heart in his mouth and he deserves it. UP THE DUBS!”

The tee is available this afternoon from Designist at South Great Georges Street, Dublin this afternoon or online from Nutmeg clothing here.

Thanks all.

What you may need to know.

1. It’s a new RTÉ comedy series.

2. You may have already seen them on Republic Of Telly.

3. One of them is Rosanna Davison’s brother-in-law (to be). Not only that, his dad is Dr. Quirkey.

4. The series co-stars proper comedy legend Rik Mayall. Seriously.

5. Relax. The show challenges stereotypes, as opposed to reinforcing them.

6. The Big Question: Is this the next big Irish comedy sensation?

Broadcast Date: Next Monday
