Behold the Reflective Bicycle, by a damn hipster Irish/German collective in Berlin called Happarel.
They write:
Reflective material in any form sends light back to its source. Our Reflective bicycles are coated in a special reflective material that does just that. The effect seen depends on the light conditions, so to pedestrians or cyclists, your frame will not be distracting, it simply ensures visibility from car drivers and safety for everybody. One of the best benefits; no batteries required. Your bicycle will stay reflective for seven years guaranteed, but with proper care, can stay reflective indefinitely. The bike will reflect the quality and intensity of light projected which is perfect for car headlights.
The team behind the bikes include Ireland’s Michael McInerney and Brian Smith and their friends Antoine-John Capeyron, Ebi Schilling and Fay Smith.
You may support Happarel with their Indiegogo funding campaign here.

Dublin People reports:
Irish Rail has confirmed that electronic cigarettes are now banned from all its DART and train services. The company says it made the decision following complaints from passengers, even though there’s no evidence the devices cause any harm to anybody standing close to those using them.
FIGHT!

[Cars clamped in Stepaside, Dublin last December]
Breakingnews.ie reports:
SIPTU workers at Dublin Street Parking Services have been waiting since 2011 for a 2.5% wage rise and will vote today to decide if they should take industrial action to force management to pay. It is now likely that a strike will go ahead and SIPTU Organiser, John King, says the pay rise may seem small but it’s the principal that counts.

Following the release last month of their first knitted football boot – the Samba Primeknit – Adidas has announced the Primeknit FS – a knitted boot and sock combination offering bespoke, laceless, edgeless, toe to calf potential for all manner of prancing, diving and ball dominating shenanigans.
It’s all very similar to Nike’s Flyknit range – announced just a day later – and very hard to tell who’s copying who.

The Dantone Guide by Danish ad agency TN Reklame, what sez:
Finding the right linguistic nuances when communicating is of course just as important as finding the right colour. Which is why we have developed The Dantone Guide, a chart that introduces nuances in the Danish language (the examples have been translated). From PEACE, over UNREST, to WAR. From FINANCIAL CRISIS, over ZERO GROWTH, to UPTURN. The colours of the words follow the actual Pantone scale and the colour of each concept matches its subject. So that matters related to emotions are red/pink, financial issues are blue, environmental issues green and so forth.
Colour us optimistic.
