Further to the dismissal of the Golfgate case…

“I followed the trial closely and the outcome is a relief not just to the defendants but to everyone who attended on the assurance that it complied with the rules.

“The aftermath was traumatic for me but many thousands of people suffered far more than I did from the pandemic.

“I lost a good contract to resume the work I love. That had a big effect on me and my family.

“I would like to go back on air. I have good relations with many people in RTÉ and I am hopeful that a way will be found for me to work again with RTÉ on radio and television.”

Construction workers are using their equipment to remove parking clamps according to a Dublin City Council report.

Foot patrols to increase the use of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) is being recommended as a way of reducing the removal of clamps known as “Code Blacks” .

The report said that Castleforbes Street in the north inner city had the highest incidence of ‘Code Blacks’ with a total of 43 between February and November last year and including 14 in September alone.

Other streets with high rates of Code Blacks were Mount Street Upper, Sheriff Street Upper and South Circular Road.

The use of FPNs was introduced as a more effective deterrent than clamping last June for six specified offences including parking on a footpath, a bus lane or cycle track.

Another 17 offences were added last October “to address areas of concern particularly around construction sites“.

I contacted the Central Statistics Office for information on actual C-19 Deaths with no other illnesses during 2020, I am very surprised to see only 61 people died during this time! We destroyed our economy, businesses, social lives and livelihoods, seriously?

First pints in fupping AGES. Went to Kehoe’s (upstairs) and it was glorious. Was with yer man (he’s reading) and we sorted a load of stuff over a fair amount of jar.

There was a scent of garlic on South Anne Street when leaving the boozer but we abstained from that temptation. Got the Luas home and for the first time in ages, I remembered normal life.

Jesus, I’d forgotten how it feels to have a pint without the craziness of the zombie apocalypse. Is it really going away? Maybe not. I might wake up with d’virus. But Jaysus, t’was almost worth it.

Hic.

Does anybody know what has happened to the mural on Setanta Place? My first time home in a while and I have noticed it has disappeared. Hope it hasn’t suffered the same black bag fate as the one in Irish Life Centre…

Anyone?
