Behold: Skyville – a meticulously crafted 90x40cm miniature village by Bulgarian artist Ognyan Stefanov, who creates these and other lavish architectural wonders in his spare time between stints as an aviation photographer.

Tiny homes, shops, farms and gardens designed to mimic real functionality with a water drainage system, pulleys, and walkways that climb from level to level: two years in the making, complete with luxuriously appointed interiors and a population of teeny-tiny villagers.

More on the project here.

A project by artist Reuben Wu in which drones and light painting are used to bring a hypnotic visual rhythm to rugged landscapes.

The project uses a stick of 200 LED lights programmed to shift colour and shape – the artist capturing the results in-camera and through a combination of stills, timelapse, and real-time footage.

The ‘afrofuturistic Lego’ of Toronto based artist Ekow Nimako – hundreds of thousands of sleek black Lego blocks in structures which explore ‘the intersection of technology and race to visualize a powerful future for the African diaspora”.

Nimako’s ongoing project ‘Building Black’ envisages West African mythology and folklore in the form of masks and a huge 1.85m² urban landscape called ‘Kumbi Saleh 3020 CE’ representing the ancient capital of the Ghana empire.
