04. Catch them Saturday night, playing Cork as part of the Jazz Weekend Music Trail, at Fred Zeppelin’s at 9pm.

Verdict: The sweet-spot between cavernous and considered. One for metallers and shoegazers alike.

Joan Collins TD joined demonstrators in support of a student who was found guilty on Friday of false imprisonment of Joan Burton TD during the Jobstown protest.

The 17-year-old denied falsely imprisoning the former Tanaiste and her advisor Karen O’ Connell who were allegedly trapped in two garda cars for three hours during the demonstration at the Fortunestown Road in Jobstown in Tallaght in November 2014.

He was aged 15 at the time of the protest. The judge imposed conditional discharge on both charges and will be spared a criminal record.

Two seal pups, Lilo and Tinkerbell, were released back into the sea… Tinkerbell was the smallest pup they’ve had to nurse at 6.5kg when found.B oth were found along the Galway coast and nursed in Wexford and returned to familiar seas. The two women who found the pups got the honour of opening the container box / cage to set them free in the sea again.It was quite lovely in fairness :)
