Rosie and Jason (they didn’t wish to give last names) outside the ‘squatters’ complex in Grangegorman in Dublin where the attempted eviction by security personal took place last night. Some reports stated that security were using anything from golf clubs to hurleys. Jason is walking with a crutch after being struck on the shin with a metal pipe.
About 30 people are squatting on the site. Behind the houses is a large communal space which is used by all of the neighbors, not just the residents, for growing food, playing games, watching movies, exchanging clothes and books and a general meeting space. Before people moved into the location the area was used as an illegal dump, filled with glass and concrete.

Life Hack Posters are graphic prints all about life hacks – tips & tricks to save time, do things smarter and make life easier… I’m a very visual person and rely on graphic reminders (like sticky notes, whiteboards, etc.) to remind me to do things. I wanedt to create exceptionally designed posters illustrating different life hacks for people to display in their homes, offices and businesses….

Oi!
Stop messing about.

We’re fourth Class in St. Audoen’s National School in Cook St, Dublin 8. We’re doing a project at the minute to help combat Climate Change. We came up with the idea of a petition for people of the world to commit to changing three small things that are accessible to everyone. Namely:
1: Shop locally and buy at least ONE extra product from your country every week.
2: Turn off the lights in rooms that you’re not in and plug out your television at night.
3: Recycle just a little bit more than you do.
We’ve been following who has been signing the petition in class and we have reached places as far away as America and Australia. Please help us reach as many people as possible. Sign and share with your fiends.

Perishing eco-friendly, proto hippy tykes.
I don’t you normally do this kind of thing but we have tried Facebook, animal sanctuaries etc to no avail. My sister’s house was burgled a fortnight ago, place ransacked, jewellery etc stolen, the usual. But worst of all, they stole her dog. As you can imagine she is devastated. We are making a last ditch effort with posters etc and hoping we might get her back.

Members of the Anti Austerity Alliance (AAA) unveil a Private Members Motion to abolish Irish water and call for a General Election challenge by water charge campaigners
Paul Murphy sez:
“The Private Members Motion we are presenting to the Dail calls for the abolition of the water charges, Irish Water and their replacement with progressive taxation measures such as increased corporation tax, a Financial Transactions Tax or a wealth tax. In light of the empty threats which have been issued by [Environment Minister] Alan Kelly, we are offering the government a final opportunity to abolish Irish Water, scrap the water charges and attempt to save themselves before they are met with a mass boycott which will finish them and Irish Water…”
The AAA believe the water charges movement can create “new political force beyond existing parties”.
