Ahead of this evening’s vote on Clare Daly’s bill to allow abortion in cases of fatal fetal abnormalities.

Sent Away Stories.

A short documentary for your consideration.

Luke McManus writes:

This documentary tells the story of pregnant women who were diagnosed with fatal foetal abnormality in Irish hospitals. These women travelled abroad for termination because Irish law denied them this treatment at home. Their group, TFMR (Termination For Medical Reasons) are now lobbying to have the law changed. Thank you to Kate McCullough, Joanne Cunningham, Brendan Rehill and Niall Campion who donated their time to this cause.

At the Shrine of Saint Valentine.

Bishop Denis Nulty of Kildare, Leighlin and President of Catholic marriage service Accord, at the not at all creepy ‘blessing of the engaged couple ‘Leona Gallagher and Paul McNulty at the Shrine of Saint Valentine Whitefriar Street Church, Dublin.

New Accord poll findings, published today, claim 65 percent believe a child is “more likely to grow up happy if raised in a home with a loving mother and father”.
