From One Second To The Next – Werner Herzog’s powerful 2013 documentary for the It Can Wait campaign in the US.

An award-winning documentary short by Josh Izenberg telling the true story of disillusioned neurologist Dr. John Kitchin – a ‘typical institutionalised, educated Western man’ – who has abandoned the medical world for a new life and a freewheeling alter-ego on San Diego’s Pacific Beach.

Barry writes:
A new study of death rates in children under 5 was published today in The Lancet. According to the study, Ireland has the third worst child death rate in western Europe, with 4.6 deaths per thousand births. Malta, with 7 deaths per thousand births, ranks worst in western Europe, with the UK coming in second on 4.9 deaths per thousand births.
This puts us far behind other western European countries like Iceland (2.4), Sweden (2.7) and Norway (3.0).
