UPDATE: via National Library of Ireland:
“A small fire broke out at the National Library of Ireland (NLI) on Kildare Street today before midday.The fire occurred – during maintenance works – in the basement of a building which houses administrative offices. The fire was immediately brought under control but the fire alarm system in the Library was activated and buildings were evacuated, as is the rule in the Library. The Dublin fire service attended the scene. Kildare Street was sealed off and has since reopened.There were no injuries. No collections were damaged or were in danger of being damaged.”
