“Here’s to all who went down under,
Who tore their Mammy’s hearts asunder,
Who chose the thongs over shteel-teo wellys,
And tried to tan their pashty bellys.
However this song was wrote because,
There’s friends of ours below in Oz,
Who daily take a sun drenched stroll,
And shed a distant tear for home.”

“I have an appointment to receive a new Public Services Card. In section 2, it states I need to bring a “Property lease, Tenancy agreement or Receipt for payment of Household Charge”. I’m a home owner but haven’t paid the Household Charge and won’t be paying it. Is this another way of keeping tabs on the ordinary citizen?”

Anyone?

Bus Éireann spokesman Andrew McLindon said the company was in a difficult financial situation and the industrial dispute has cost it “effectively €500,000 at a time when we’re already losing approximately €500,000 a month so time is of the essence on this”

That’ll learn them.
