Incredibly lifelike paper birds created by Dutch artist Johan Scherft, who creates the paper templates on computer, prints them, paints them by hand and assembles the model. The process can take up to a month per bird.

A shot taken at the World Bird Sanctuary in Missouri by photographer Lisa Kee, who swears it’s not ‘shopped. Sez she:
‘Minerva’ was turning her head from side to side quite intrigued with the noise from my camera and then just flipped it upside down. I have watched birds of prey turn their heads all different ways but to see one completely upside down like this was a first. I had to double check my camera to see it actually happened.

Shots have been fired at the home (above) of the former developer and Fianna Fáil election candidate [2002 General Election] Ger Killally in Edenderry, Co Offaly.
Mr Killally and his father sustained minor injuries in the incident.
…He drove away and was pursued by another vehicle in the direction of Clonbologue.
Mr Kilally’s car then went off the road and the other car left the scene.
