USI Congress is on in [The Carlton Hotel] Ballinasloe, Co Galway, this week. Over 250 students (some of them pictured at top) from 24 of USI’s affiliated students’ unions are discussing the future of third level education and electing a new President for 2013/2014. Outgoing President John Logue (above) will give his final address to Congress tomorrow night at 9pm.

I was wondering if you might be able to help promote a citizen science project I’m involved with. It’s called Fox Pop and will use social media to gather information on foxes in Dublin City. So specifically urban rather than suburban foxes. I hope to gather vital info about the city fox population as only citizens are really in a position to see them when they’re just hanging out.I’m asking people in the Dublin 1 and 2 area – but also within the environs of the two canals – to email, tweet or send an FB message with any fox sightings (photo optional).
