Ryan Kwanten (him from Home & Away or more recently True Blood) stars in this short set in the Spider-Man universe. A French documentary crew follow larger-than-life crime journalist Eddie Brock and get a little more than they bargained for.

There is of course a post credits bonus scene.

Producer Adi Shankar gave a spoiler filled interview about the background to the short.

No, come back.

It’s only sixty seconds.

Laura Gaynor, the student journalist who revealed what tay the Taoiseach takes (rooibus, indeed) earlier this month, writes:

“My brother Robert made a film called ‘The Cannon’ for the 30 MinuteĀ Film Festival at the Galway Film Fleadh. He was 12 when he made it and is 13 now. It’s a festival within a festival where 30 60-second films are screened to a live audience. His film took home the judges award.”

Fair play, in fairness.

Nice.

Made 10 years ago, but gaining viral traction now, Yu Ming, Is Ainm Dom (or My Name Is Yu Ming) sketches, in a scant 13 minutes, the story of a bored Chinese clerk, who, with a leap of faith and a spin of the globe, sets his sights on Ireland, where his research tells him the language is Gaelic.

You can see where this is going…
