When AMC’s Breaking Bad premiered in 2008, one of Alabama’s most successful meth cooks was already knee deep in building a massive meth empire. His name? Walter White. In this documentary, Walter tells us the secret behind his product, how he stacked up thousands of dollars per day, and why his partner is now serving two life sentences.
“This is my contribution to the Durex and MTV ‘Staying Alive’ #SomeoneLikeMe campaign for World Aids Day 2013. On a lighter note, I never thought I’d see the day where I would work ‘post-expose prophylaxis’ into a Miley Cyrus song. On an even lighter note, I think Durex were paying people to create videos but I couldn’t find how to sign up so this one’s free for a great cause.
“Statistics: 1,000,000 in the US living with HIV, 50,000 diagnosis a year. In Ireland: 362 people diagnosed every year or 1 person diagnosed every day. Up to 30% of people who are HIV-positive don’t know they are living with HIV.
“Lastly, I am fully aware that I cannot sing. That is not the point of the video.”

Myself and some friends came across hundreds of these bioluminescent jellies on Rossnowlagh beach, Co Donegal at low tide last night [Saturday]. When disturbed, they glow bright blue. From what I can gather, they’re rarely seen here and seemed to be gathered almost entirely in front of a hotel – the only lit up part of the beach. Maybe some of your readers can help shed some light (sorry…) as to why?
