Oh.
Friends.
The one where a burly Brit host ruins everything.
Not bad, as it happens.
Sophia Heather writes:
Doolin Ferry Co. has once again set sail between the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher for the Summer season. Signifying hope for the tourism sector, the boat tour of the year winner has finally welcomed passengers back aboard their fleet of ferries.
In fairness.
Fintan Dunne spoke to Cindy Connolly about her mandatory hotel quarantine experience.
Ms Connolly had travelled to Dublin from the UK to care for her 79-year-old father, James (top) who was released from hospital after suffering an adverse reaction to Pfizer’s Covid 19 vaccine.
She was tested negative for Covid-19 by the NHS but was told on arrival at Dublin Airport she needed a PCR test and was escorted by members of the Defence Forces and detained at the Croke Park Hotel.

Yesterday.
Dáil at the Convention Centre.
Independent Clare TD Michael McNamara forcefully argues against an extension of covid emergency laws.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly had earlier told the Dáil that the pandemic measures will only need to be extended “for a very short time” – from June 9 until November 10 or sometime in February 2022 ‘at the latest’.

Verona Murphy, Independent, explains her opposition to the often nonsensical and contradictory restrictions the government have introduced to date, and why she will be voting against the extension of emergency covid powers. #Covid19Ireland #EnoughIsEnough pic.twitter.com/P9wzSZsmtz

This is completely over the top! What about that hotel that hosted the #golfgate – few kids acting the maggot – close the place down. Few politicians/judges breaking rules, not a word!!🤷♂️👇 https://t.co/Xjv0KDnlM9

This evening.
It’s like the 1930s in, er, Berlin.
This afternoon.
Citywest, Dublin.
Des O’Grady from Castleknock celebrates receiving a free balloon on becoming the 100,000th vaccine recipient since the vaccination centre at Citywest opened on March 3.
The milestone shot was administered by Corporal Thomas Carew, of the Irish Army, lending the event a M*A*S*H feel.
Hang on. Des was promised a cupcake?
UPDATE:
YAY!
Just took this screenshot and it’s clear that aviation although reduced is moving around Europe but Ireland looks deserted and the flights passing over are heading for European destinations. Our government are destroying aviation and tourism, not the pandemic. pic.twitter.com/ZNZYKvplQi
