A supposedly ‘leaked’ version of Britney Spears’ vocal for Alien before her voice was autotuned for the final track.

Producer William Orbit has since released a statement claiming the vocal was a pre-recording warm up. To wit:

I’d like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalizations in order to get warmed up. Warming up is essential if you’re a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly. I’ve heard all manner of sounds emitted during warm-ups. The point is that it is not supposed to be shared with millions of listeners.

Oooh.

Joe Donnelly writes:

“I asked listeners to TXFM Drive to decide which country would come out on top in a battle of the bands and singers. Of all the remaining World Cup matches, no other two countries can offer up the same intriguing contest. While most of the music we listen to comes from Britain, the U.S., and of course our own country, there’s no denying that France and Germany have provided some quality artists over the years….”

Top of die Pops?

You FIGHT decide.

Of this drum ‘n’ bottle cover of Toto’s 1982 hit, Danish blown-bottle beatniks
The Bottle Boys (aka Flaskedrengen) sez:

We really love Toto’s ‘Africa’. The melody is amazing and there is also this great solo in the middle, which fitted perfectly with our new instrument: The Bottle Xylophone. We have played the song for a while, but we have never made it into a video.
