‘Other Eddie’ writes:

The very nasty piece about [Reboot Ireland’s] Eddie Hobbs in the Sunday Independent about his various business adventures has been removed from the Independent website. The article was astonishing given that Hobbs was only recently writing for the paper and is a leading part of the Lucinda Creighton’s new political movement (backed by the paper up to now). Incidentally The piece was written by Nick Webb, the son in law of Shane Ross, founder of the other new party and Lucinda’s rival….

Interested in cars?

Keen to select the most sexually attractive of three individuals?

We are currently producing a new TG4 dating called Pioc do Ride. It’s a dating show and it promises to be serious craic. [To wit:]

Are you a single driver looking for a co-pilot? Has the ‘look of love’ across the dashboard eluded you so far? Maybe you’re just too in love with your car. If so, get up out of your motor and participate in a brand new dating show! We are currently looking for lots of participants and we thought it might interest the Broadsheet Massive. Contact the producers at piocdoride@gmail.com or on Facebook.

“…My next instalment will be about how you cope when you hear your life will be much shorter than you’d expected. All with the help of the fantastic staff here and my family.

The problem is that I can type with only one finger. But I’m hoping to be able to raise the finger to [Motor Nueron Disease] for a while longer.

For the moment I’m happy that I can still move my arms enough to put them around my wife, squeeze her and pretend for a few moments that nothing is wrong.”

Peter Carvosso writing in last week’s Irish Times about life with motor neuron disease.

Peter, an editor with the Irish Independent, has passed away.
