Dublin City Council will open 22 of its public buildings on a “toilets only” basis
This afternoon.
Further to news that Dublin City Council will open its public buildings for people to use the toilets.
Fine Gael Councillor Colm O’Rourke, who has long lobbied for more lavs, writes:
‘This news, along with the invitation from the Council for companies to tender for the provision of public toilets in conjunction with retail units, is stepping in the right direction.
It is a great move to open toilets in public buildings or provide toilets in conjunction with retail units, to ensure that the toilets remain safe, accessible for all, clean and, well ventilated – that is so important.
It needs to be stressed that more public toilets need to be put in place not just during the COVID-19 pandemic but after it too. People are embracing an outdoor culture more, but the facilities need to be in place to allow people to enjoy this way of living.’

In fairness.
NEOMADiC featuring Shiv – Waves
Flow, river, flow.
A slinky little number for night owls, the new single by NEOMADiC (top) and guest vocalist Shiv is all mellowed out.
A new EP After Dark follows in the summer.
The press blurb writes:
“NEOMADiC are representative of a new Irish generation, kids of multicultural heritage drawing inspiration from their experiences and beyond. Dyramid is Irish and South Sudanese, and Yake Loga is Irish and Zimbabwean.”
Shiv, meanwhile, was born in Zimbabwe and raised in County Kildare.
Nick says: NEOMADiC for the people.

Is it possible to get a log of what the Minister for Housing does every day??
I wouldn’t be surprised if these new, unbuilt properties, were rented back to the government for social housing.
Really sick of this nonsense. Canada and NZ both identified a bubble based on their policies and are in the process of change. Why won’t our government change their policies?!
