I went to lunch in the institution that is Fusco’s, Meath Street, Dublin today. The menu has remained unchanged for as long as I can remember. Managed to get a snap of it. It’s just a joy. I’d wager a few readers could name the “plaice” from the menu. It’ll give the spelling Nazis something to give out about anyway.

And meet Fellipo, the kickboxing Italian behind Fusco’s:

[This is] the first installment of Live at Kinine, what will hopefully become a regular collaboration of musicians, set in a studio in the foothills of the Dublin mountains, hosted by Paul Brady. This video features a song of Paul’s from his 1987 album Primitive Dance, titled “The Soul Commotion”. We had a great time playing this, dance routines and all! Watch this space for the next video in the series, Fiach’s “Don’t Want To Let You Down”

Featuring Bairbre Munnis (Backing Vocals), Colm Mac Con Iomaire (Violin), Dara Munnis (Hammond), Donal Gunne (Electric Guitar), Keith Farrell (Bass), Johnny Boyle (Drums), Niamh Danger (Backing Vocals), Paul Brady (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar) Róisín O’Reilly (Backing Vocals) & Turlough Gunawardhana (Backing Vocals).
Recorded and Mixed by John Munnis
Cameras by Mark Doyle and Stephen Mogerley
Produced by Dara Munnis
Directed by Stephen Mogerley

Thanks Dara

I see Broadsheet is having a bit of a Boss day. Sending you a snap of an original gig tee from 1988 which belongs to my dad. (I stole it from him and wear it. I would have been four when he went to this concert.) It says ‘Stage’ on the back… Take from that what you will. I haven’t got tickets for the gig tonight {at the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin], wish I did!

Anyone got a spare?
