You could catch Kris Kristofferson and Sinead O’Connor on ‘Saturday Night with Miriam, the last in the series (well that flew). Above is when the pair bonded during a Bob Dylan tribute in the 90s.

The Dylan fans get moody as only people who came to hear Bob Dylan songs and instead are given a ‘spoken word’ rendition of ‘War’ by Bob Marley, can get moody. Look for Kris being very gallant and Sinead being a little troubled.

Sinead’s new musician husband, Steve Cooney, is Australian by birth and has a great mastery of his homeland’s native instruments. When he was asked to take Sinead’s hand in marriage he replied : “I didgeridoo.”

Yup. Long week.

Come on kids, the man needs a holiday. Never mind, watch this very rich substitute from the guys at Apres Match. OK, you’ve seen it before. But you’ve seen Fargo more than once, right?

We hope the Apres crew are just like us: like-minded guys (and in our case, a good number of ladies) working, without ego, for a common satiric purpose. We’d hate to think they were in it just for the bread. We’d hate to think they had ego issues with one another and didn’t enjoy a smoke or a pint and a game of billiards like we do in Karl’s basement.

We’d hate to think those talented, funny guys spend every night, before going to bed, on their knees, praying to the comedy gods to keep Dunphy, Giles and creaky, old Bill alive. Whatever it takes,

Long enough to milk the last drop of laff juice from old men’s udders. Long enough to make that final, bittersweet mortgage payment.

We’d hate that very much.

Apres Match ‘Possibly So’ Tour 2010 (Ticketmaster)

OK. This is breaking. Again from RTE.ie:

It was also confirmed that Brendan O’Connor would be returning to our screens on ‘The Saturday Night Show’ after a successful debut last season.

See that Doyle. You see that, Mr Craig Doyle. That’s what happens when you fuck with the big boys. Oh, you down now. Take a Polaroid of that, UPC hotard.

* Mr O’Connor’s book ‘Dick in the Old Country’, recalling Richard Nixon and his glamorous wife, Pat’s historic 1970 trip to Ireland, will be published in the autumn.

From RTE.ie five minutes ago:

“The new season was launched by the new Managing Director of Television, Glen Killane who confirmed RTÉ’s new afternoon schedule for the coming year. Two new programmes have been slated in with Maura Derrane anchoring the new ‘4 Daily’ which will be followed by ‘Daily Extra’ presented by new ‘Rose of Tralee’ host Daithi Ó Se and Claire Byrne.”

More as we get it.

Choke on that, Craig so-called Doyle.
