My dog Lupa [double entendre – named after the mother of Romulus and Remus] and I traversed the Military road in the mountains yesterday and she became all existential staring off towards Wicklow. I just thought I would share this precious moment with you. Have a beautiful weekend…

What you may need to know.
1. CBS have released 50 seconds-worth of nondescript CG as an early taster for the in-development Star Trek TV show.
2. The cast is yet to be announced, but reboot writer Alex Kurtzman is producing.
3. It’s rumoured that this new series will be set in between The Undiscovered Country and The Next Generation.
4. Star Wars/Star Trek… It’s all good. There’s plenty of room for everyone at the all-you-can-eat nerd buffet. Except Kevin Smith. He’s barred.
5. CBS will air Star Trek in January 2017.
7. Broadsheet Prognosis: Klingon to the past (I’ll get me coat).

Mr [Alan] Kelly was not present at Mr [Brendan] Howlin’s unveiling this afternoon.
“I am very disappointed Alan Kelly did not show up today,” Mr Howlin said. “I will be ringing him after this press conference.”
In an interview with News at One, the new leader said he had “no trouble” with Mr Kelly and he would be an “intrinsic part of the Labour Party”.

Right so.
A Broadsheet.ie premiere, folks. Hopefully the first of many.
We’ve been singing the praises of Cork’s this lad for a while and for good reason, his psychey, stream-of-consciousness take on the genre being a definite addition to the current experimental noises around hip-hop in Ireland at present.
So we’re proud to present his new collaborative EP, In The Moment. Recorded earlier this year, and featuring appearances from Irish emcees Kestine, Kid Influence, Wellington and JayRonic, this EP sees YP and partners-in-crime take a lateral move into tighter, more propulsive trap-like territory.
Streaming in its entirety above.
