Horinouchi House in Tokyo, Japan, a very modestly sized (56 m³) house that makes the most of its tiny footprint, designed by Mizuishi Architect Atelier. To wit:

Slightly reminiscent of a submarine’s periscope, the Horinouchi House’s triangular-shaped exterior allows it to fit snugly into its modest plot of land. Inside, the home is spacious and incredibly well lit, succeeding in making it feel much larger than it actually is. Its lower level houses a master bedroom and bathroom, along with a kitchen and dining room, while the upstairs quarters are primarily reserved for communal activities — think a den or living room.

One of six motorcycles featured in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises – currently up for auction by the Prop Store.

The machine has Hoosier racing tyres, a 750cc Honda engine, a metal display stand and a starting price of $60,000 – $80,000.

The Budnitz Model E is the lightest electric bike of its kind, combining an enclosed 250W electric motor (feeding a 30V L-ion 160Wh battery) with a titanium alloy frame, it can cruise at 15mph (24km/h) for 100 miles (160km).

Apparently the ‘Euclidian curve’ presented by the smooth rubber pelotas offers a pleasing, stress-relieving squeeze-toy for working men and women with a minute or two to spare.

An extremely limited edition means you may have to make do with your own. Or somebody else’s.
