Hong Kong’s ‘jockey club innovation tower’ – home to the city’s Polytechnic University School of Design, captured in all it’s eye-bending, interstellar-cruise-liner-looking asymmetric glory by renowned architectural photographer Iwan Baan.

Completed in mid 2013 and designed by the Iraqi British architect Zaha Hadid for a city where space is at a premium, the tower has 15 1000m³ storeys rising up from an irregularly shaped narrow plot of land.

‘b-tourist’  by designers Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka is an elastic fabric that attaches to your headrest and that of the airplane seat in front. There’s a small pocket for items you might need to keep handy during the flight and plastic rings which adjust the width of the material depending on the level of privacy you need.

Oh you’ll be conspicuous.

But will you care, snuggled away in the sensory void of your ‘noggin-hammock’?

You will not.

A small, colourful fleet of eclectically designed accommodation for the otherwise homeless by American artist Gregory Kloehn – founder of the Homeless Homes Project community initiative.

The idea is to create and maintain shelters whose roofs, walls, frames, flooring, windows and rolling platforms are upcycled from illegally dumped materials found by Kloehn on the streets.
