An Olivia O’Leary-helmed RTÉ Today Tonight special from 1987 on the death of Fr Niall Molloy answering some of the questions left out of the recent McGinn review into the case.
Includes: A detailed look at the business dealings between Fr Molloy and Therese Flynn and her husband Richard Flynn.
The matter of the stopped watch and the gardai.
And what defence counsel counsel Paddy McEntee (top) said to Judge Frank Roe (above) prior to Richard Flynn’s acquittal on manslaughter charges.
Good times.
Also: name that reporter anyone?

It just occurred to me how many of my friends (and myself…) can’t vote in the referendum because we’re not Irish citizens. Polish, English, Lithuanians and everyone else. According to 2011 census over half a million people. Many of which are here for years and planning to stay.
Makes me wonder if it’s time to review the system as well. Particularly for citizens of EU countries which would have no any other reason to get citizenship. Living, working and paying taxes in Ireland for the past 11 years, civil partner to an Irish citizen, and planning on staying here for good, I think I earned my right to vote?

What you may need to know:
1. Certain factions begin to consider Superman (Henry Cavill) as a threat to mankind in the aftermath of the city-destroying events of Man of Steel (2013). Enter the Batman (Ben Affleck).
2. Affleck does look mighty impressive in the Batsuit, and the voice is a huge improvement on Christian Bale’s risible Batvoice. Lest we forget – he was da bomb in Phantoms (1998).
3. With Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg in the mix with Jessie Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, I predict some cluttered Spider-Man 3 (2007) style shenanigans.
4. Also… Zack Snyder. Let’s face facts – Man of Steel (2013) was an unholy mess of exposition, climaxing with a blue blur throwing a grey blur through buildings for the best part of an hour.
5. And no John Williams? Huge mistake.
6. Broadsheet Prognosis: Holy green screen crapfest, Batman.

An eyeball and earhole pleasing underwater macro short filmed at the Lambeh Straits in Indonesia, of which photographer Kay Burn Lim sez:
Most of the creatures shown ranged from the size of a grain of rice to perhaps 2 inches at most. (With the exception of the moray eel and puffer fish). The red “Orang Utan” crab displaying monkey like behaviour was actually residing in a Coca Cola bottle cap. The yellow hairy shrimp after that was barely 4mm tall!
