I noticed this clever face mask when I was in a restaurant in Beijing [China] last year. They were being worn by the chefs, bar staff and waiters. I thought to myself, what a cool device, to avoid spreading germs (colds, flu, bugs etc) and viruses).

I further thought to myself, what if these were mandatory in every bar, cafe and restaurant together with latex gloves and regular handwashing? Could this reduce the spread of colds, infections and other bugs?

Also imagine if these were used in every supermarket, cafe and shop. I wonder how many lost work days would be saved?

The legislation challenged includes the 2020 Health Preservation and Protection and Other Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act, the 2020 Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act Covid-19 Act, The 1947 Health Act (Affected Areas) Order.

Their proceedings are also aimed at striking down temporary restriction regulations brought due to Covid-19 under the 1947 Health Act.

The action against what they claim are laws is against The Minister for Health, Ireland and the Attorney General.

Gerard Meehan Bl for the State told the court it will oppose the application for leave to bring the challenge, and asked the court to adjourn the case for two weeks to prepare a sworn statement in response to what is a “quite substantial” challenge.

The Department of Health has said in addition to the 687 people diagnosed with Covid-19 who have died and where there have been laboratory confirmed tests, there are also a further 77 ‘probable‘ Covid-19 deaths.

Details are now being provided of probable cases, where a clinician has determined a death as probably related to Covid-19….

Yesterday, health officials reported 77 deaths from Covid-19, the highest number declared on a single day during the emergency here.

Figures show that these deaths occurred over an extended period.

Many of them were in recent days, but in some in cases the deaths went back to around the beginning of April.

Anyone?
