Out of Love, the new single from longtime Irish alternative holdouts Bell X1.

Replete with a very tactile, oddly satisfying video altogether.

Sez co-director Louise Gaffney:

My work has tended to be a little on the abstract side, full of colour and graphic elements. I usually like to play for mixtures of real footage and animation. This video for Out Of Love is a good reflection of that. It’s the first time I have collaborated on a music video. This one was made with Cian Mc Kenna (Come On Live Long), who is a friend and incredible motion graphic designer. We collaborated on all aspects of the video from concept right through to filming and compositing animations. This video is an intense collage piece which is a mash up of live action footage, typographic animation and 3D creations.

So, there you are now.

Bell X1’s new album is available for pre-order now.

Fancy a run in the Gaeltacht Quarter?

Máirtín Mac Gabhann writes:

A group of Irish-language speakers have come together in Belfast to organise the inaugural Gaeltacht Quarter 10KM race in the West of the City. The race will kick-off at 9am, Sunday 9th October with all proceeds from the registration fee going directly to the chosen charity TACA, which provides support for the development of Irish Medium Education. Every runner will then have the choice to raise money for their chosen cause, relating to the growth and development of the Irish language and Irish medium education.

Meanwhile…

After falling asleep at the wheel while governing recklessly, the party incurred a lifetime ban from governing the country, however, Fianna Fáil has impressed many voters by doggedly demanded parity be restored in Irish life after the party itself spent years working tirelessly to create the perfect conditions for a seismic economic meltdown.

NASA sez:

The two light-year diameter shroud of dust and gas around a central white dwarf has long been considered an excellent example of a planetary nebula, representing the final stages in the evolution of a Sun-like star.

Lovely penmanship, in fairness.
