We are reminding those intending to travel to this weekend’s All-Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday, that advance booking for Intercity rail travel remains mandatory at present.

This is in order to manage the 75% of on-board capacity available for use under current public health measures.

While extra services have been added on Sunday for both Cork and Limerick supporters to and from Dublin Heuston, all scheduled and extra trains from both counties are completely SOLD OUT for Sunday morning, and returning after the match.  In addition, many services are now sold out on Saturday also.

Culchiegeddon, dude.

Republic of Ireland supporters in Poznan, Poland during Euro 2012

Boo.

Hiss.

This afternoon.

FIFA and UEFA have confirmed away supporters will not be permitted to attend upcoming international games, meaning no Republic of Ireland fans can travel to the World Cup qualifier against Portugal in Faro next month.

It also rules out away supporters in Dublin for the games against Azerbaijan and Serbia at the Aviva Stadium.

The decision, due to Covid-19, applies to all visiting fans in UEFA Preliminary Competitions for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in the September international window, as well as friendly matches next month.

Further to Roy Keane blaming yoga for his “worst performance” during a podcast with football pundit Gary Neville…

…Rajan Zed, President of Universal Society of Hinduism, states:

“Passing blame of one’s crummy performance to highly beneficial yoga is quite out of line as many scientific/academic/clinical/etc. studies have revealed the multiple benefits yoga provide.

“President Michael Higgins recently reportedly commented that he would like to see yoga taught to school children across Ireland. According to US National Institutes of Health; yoga may help one to feel more relaxed, be more flexible, improve posture, breathe deeply, and get rid of stress. A research study by Trinity College Dublin indicated: Meditative and pranayama practices result in attentional, emotional, and physiological enhancements.

Keane needs to wake up and wholeheartedly re-incorporate highly beneficial yoga in his life. He was clearly doing a disservice to himself if not fully availing the valuable opportunities yoga provide.”

Namaste.

Lionel Messi has reportedly agreed to sign with French club PSG on a free transfer.

Via Sports Illustrated:

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner will also join an attack that features one of the world’s preeminent rising stars in Kylian Mbappé, the 22-year-old French sensation who is entering the last year of his contract with the club and has been hesitant to sign a long-term extension.

It’s unclear whether Messi’s arrival makes it more difficult for Mbappé to do that from a club finances point of view, or whether it makes it a more attractive option for the player, to continue at the club while playing alongside the Argentine great. Neymar is already signed through 2025.
