With us all being confined to quarters and with the Irish Cancer Society having to cancel fundraising efforts I decided to do my bit to try and raise some money for a very worthy cause.

The fun kicks off at 8pm. I promise 80 questions, dingbats and really bad jokes.

Due to social isolation I can’t provide the cocktail sausages!

Jape – Harrington Street

Feels like teen spirit.

Richie Egan aka Jape takes us back to the Dublin of his childhood on this highly evocative new single from his ambitious Sentinel album.

Director Jamie Delaney talks us through the song’s unforgettable video.

“The moment I heard Harrington Street, I saw an image of bittersweet teenage love. The uplifting melancholy of the lyrics and the ethereal tones instantly brought me to the back alleys of youth.

“Where giddy anticipation, nervous insecurity and the paranoid self-consciousness all mixed. I wanted the story to revolve around these seminal but yet universal moments. The moments we all remember from that awkward teenage love.”

Nick says: Teenage dreams so hard to beat.

Behold: the 1965 Griffith Series 200 – a TVR Grantura with a Ford V8 engine designed to take on the all conquering AC Cobra. The combination of powerful engine and extreme lightweight made for a 0-100km/h time of under 5 seconds – which was quite something in the 1960s.

This prototype (with the ultra low chassis number of 200/5/002, ie. number 2 of 200 made) goes to auction this summer (COVID-19-permitting).

Tim Martin, Chairman of Weatherspoons pub chain, came under fire as he said the company would not cover staff wages from the coronavirus

A gammon-faced arsehole called Tim
(Who’s unpleasant and seriously dim)
Thinks it’s a good laugh
To shit on his staff
His soul, like his pubs, is just grim.
