“I’m wondering if you can see if anyone was on the corner on Leeson st and Stephen’s Green [Dublin] this morning around 8.27. I am fuming. A no. 32X went through a red light – right through the pedestrian crossing when a number of people were crossing the road. Before you say, I have reported this to Dublin Bus. But I am considering going to the guards about this. It is a very busy junction and he could see what he had done and there were alot of school kids about. I’m sure they likely have cameras at the junction, and I will go to Pearse st with it, however , I’m unsure they would even do anything., I know this happens all the time over the city, but this morning, well it was so dangerous, people were on the road and had to back off it cos he broke the lights. Any advice welcome.”

Anyone?

In an interview last June with Martin Enthed, IKEA’s IT Manager for in-house communication, it was revealed that 75% of the images you see in the IKEA catalogue are computer generated. To wit:

The real turning point for us was when, in 2009, they called us and said, “You have to stop using CG. I’ve got 200 product images and they’re just terrible. You guys need to practice more.” So we looked at all the images they said weren’t good enough and the two or three they said were great, and the ones they didn’t like were photography and the good ones were all CG! Now, we only talk about a good or a bad image — not what technique created it.”

Ukraine Today executive producer Tetyana Pushnova called on Russia to halt its information war against Ukraine during an appearance on Russia Today live on Tuesday before RT pulled the plug.

“You are also responsible for thousands, thousands of deaths in my country. And Russia Today who are financed by Kremlin lie about my country, lie about Ukraine. That’s why I don’t want to communicate with you and I call to my international colleagues, don’t co-operate with Russia Today.”
